This means that eating white rice for dinner will slow down the rate of digestion of the previous food. Therefore, the food will have less effect on the body.
- Eating In Isolation? Probably Not
It is not possible for an average person to eat white rice in isolation. Many people will prefer to eat white with at least something else. The fact of the matter is that white rice should be eaten along with other stuff. Eating white rice together with other food makes it the overall meal.
There is no much difference between white rice or brown rice when is eaten together with protein, fat and fiber. Rice eaten together with protein, fat and fiber lowers glycemic index of digestion. The digestion of white rice and brown rice when combine with fat,fiber or protein is the same and has the same effect on blood sugar. In short, mixing rice with other meals makes it more irrelevant.

The glycemic index seems to be relevant on paper, but it is not practical in the real word scenario. People consider brown rice to be healthier than white rice. The truth is that both rice have the same effect on blood pressure and glycemic index.
