If you have ever used traditional weight lifting straps then you know how they work. Basically, you wrap one end around your wrist then tie the other end to a handle, dumbbell or barbell. Ultimately the weight will be attached to your wrists. This ensures that the weight can’t slip out of your hands while you are working. Those who have used it know that it works extremely well.
Versa Gripps Pro Review
However, Versa Gripps are slight different from the traditional straps that you may have used before. But they also have the same functions; to tighten your grip around the bar. Thus the question that we need to ask is, are the Versa Gripps any different from the traditional weight lifting straps? Thus let’s look at the Vesa Gripps pro review in detail to find out more.
There are those that think straps have no use because they are like a crutch that you are relying on to make a grip stronger. They nevertheless prevent you from firming and improving your grip. Thus, straps should be done away with completely. I for one disagree with that view because it is highly nonsensical. Straps are needed and very important.
Exercises such as pull-ups, rows, shrugs, dumbbell lunges and other aspects are not for the purpose of training their grip. All these exercises are done to train and improve muscles. They are actually designed to train legs and back muscles. This is done to a point where the muscles can lift weights way beyond what the grip would manage.
Why would training for the rest of the body suffer because of grip? Those who lack common sense might agree with that point. A less known reason for using straps is that it can compensate for elbow issues or weaknesses. It can alleviate strugglesby taking as much pressure and stress off your grip is in your best interests.
Now let us go back to the actual review
Versa Grips Pro vs. Traditional Straps
Like I had said early on,I have used traditional straps for the last ten years and I have no complaints because they have served me well. But the introduction of Versa Gripps made me wonder if their brand could do a better job than my reliable straps. It took me some time but I finally laid my hands on them and for the last one month I have been trying them out. What kind of tests have I been performing? Here is a summary of what I found:
One day I carried my traditional straps and the Versa Gripp pro straps. I did that because I wanted to alternate them for various exercises to notice if there are any differences. After two weeks it was clear to me which straps are the most efficient for work outs. As a result, my traditional straps have stayed in the bag since. I wanted to be as thorough as possible with my test so I used the straps for some of the heaviest exercises such as certain rows, deadlifts and shrugs. I am going to break my reviews into subsections to give you a proper picture of the results that I found.
This is the most important factor when comparing the two sets of straps. Some of the questions to ask are: which ones works better? Which ones firmed my grip without letting bars slip through my hands? Versa Gripps pro review found that they were more effective and better straps. That doesn’t mean they gave me an instant ability to lift weights but there was a remarkable improvement. I found that Versa Gripps improve my grip and I can hold things more tightly than the more common straps.
The only big problem: sweaty hands
I decided to try out the Versa Gripps on a hammer strength row. I was a little sweatier than before and that is when I discovered the Versa Gripps don’t work well with sweaty hands. That is when the traditional one gained an edge over the Versa Gripps. The reason for this is the material used to make the two straps. I am not sure how important this might be in provingeffective results but we will have to wait and see.
Which ones are easier and faster to use?
While both work exactly the same way, one is wrapped around the wrist while the other is wrapped around the bar. I found that while both of them are easy to use, Versa Gripps have a slight advantage as they are much easier to use because they go around once. They are also much easier to use single-handed because you don’t need the support of the other hand to put them on. Overall, I would recommend Versa Gripps for anyone who would want some new straps to have fun with at an affordable cost.
